R. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s new horror-thriller film Demonte Colony 2 hit the big screens on 15th August 2024. After the theater release, the movie started well at the box office earning ₹ 3.55 Cr on its opening day, and on Day 2, it earned ₹ 2.35 Cr.

The movie is the sequel to the horror film ‘Demonte Colony’ which was released in 2015. In the First five days, It garnered Rs 20 Crores globally.

Demonte Colony 2 Budget: The film is directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by Bobby Balachandran with a budget of around Rs 15 to 20 Crores, not confirmed yet, but this amount is only approximate.

From Day 1 of the theater release, Demonte Colony 2 had a decent start at the box office earning ₹ 18.35 Cr at the end of 6 days of theater release. The movie is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and earned well mainly in the Tamil Nadu Box Office Collection. 

Demonte Colony 2 emerged as a major box office hit, starring Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan, Meenakshi Govindarajan, and Priya Bhavani Shankar a group of friends who play the main lead role.

The budget of the movie is around Rs. 15 To 20 Crores inclusive of all paid promotions and cast fees. Currently, the film made a box office business of around Rs. 26 Crore already and the movie is already considered a HIT. 

After the success of Demonte Colony 2 at the box office, director R Ajay Gnanamuthu announced the third part which was released in 2026.

In Just four days of theater release, Demonte Colony 2 film broke lots of box office records and also crossed the box office collection of Demonte Colony (2015).

The film started very slow with Rs 4 Crore on Day 1, after that movie saw slight growth in the next two days and earned well on Day 2 and Day 3.

After the box office success of Demonte Colony 2, director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu announced the third part of the film released in 2026.

Demonte Colony 2 OTT Release Date

As per the news, the Demonte Colony 2 OTT platform will be Tentkotta. The official OTT release date is not confirmed yet. Famous streaming platform Tentkotta has acquired the digital rights for streaming and the date will be available soon.
